Medical Transcriptionist ECW And Genie

Job Overview:

Our client is seeking a Medical Transcriptionist with exceptional typing speed (90–100 words per minute), knowledge of eCW & Genie, and a keen eye for detail to support a fast-paced clinical team remotely. In this role, you will be responsible for transcribing medical documentation in real-time during procedures, accurately audio-typing reports, and assisting in administrative tasks related to patient care and referral processing. This role requires precision, speed, and familiarity with medical terminology, as well as the ability to work closely with an on-site medical team to ensure accurate and timely documentation.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM PST, with 30-minute paid lunch and two 15-minute unpaid breaks (40 work hours per week)

Responsibilities:

• Transcribe real-time dictations from physicians during procedures, ensuring accuracy and clarity in documentation.
• Audio-type medical reports during downtime, maintaining consistent quality and formatting standards.
• Enter data into Genie software and generate immediate-use reports as required.
• Assist with managing patient referrals and related documentation, focusing on efficient handling of straightforward cases.
• Coordinate remotely with the on-site medical team to support clinical workflows and ensure seamless care delivery.
• Maintain organized and compliant patient records, strictly adhering to healthcare data privacy regulations.
• Support administrative functions related to patient scheduling, documentation, and follow-up processes.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a medical transcriptionist or similar role in a healthcare setting.
• Typing speed of 90–100 words per minute with high accuracy.
• Strong command of medical terminology, particularly within gastroenterology or related specialties.
• Familiarity with healthcare data privacy and confidentiality standards.
• Must have a Windows OS device with a stable internet connection.
• Knowledge of eCW (Preferred)
• Experience with medical software; knowledge of Genie software is highly desirable.
• Excellent listening, comprehension, and written English skills.
• Proficient in audio typing and real-time transcription tools.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision.
• High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
