Job Highlights

  • Paid Hours per Week: 40
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 to 5pm with 1 hour unpaid break | Australian Eastern Time
  • Work Arrangement: Work from home
  • Contract: Independent Contractor

Side note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and an “Independent Contractor” arrangement, the candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.

Responsibilities

  • Answer and manage incoming patient phone calls throughout the day
  • Schedule and reschedule patient appointments efficiently
  • Coordinate appointments across multiple medical centers
  • Process medical billing accurately for Australian Medicare system
  • Handle daily administrative workflow and patient communications
  • Manage front desk operations remotely to support on-site staff


Requirements

  • Experience with Australian medical software systems (Hot Dog, Best Practice, Health Engine)
  • Knowledge of Australian Medicare billing system and processes
  • Previous experience working in Australian medical centers or healthcare settings
  • Strong communication skills with professional phone manner
  • Ability to work full-time Australian hours (8am-5pm Queensland time)
  • Experience in medical reception or healthcare administration roles
  • Ability to handle high-volume call environments and manage multiple tasks


Scope

  • Full-time position working Australian business hours (8am-5pm Queensland time)
  • Remote work supporting multiple medical center locations
  • High-volume environment with constant phone activity and patient interactions
  • Direct involvement in patient scheduling and Medicare billing processes
  • Integration with existing front desk team of 2-4 staff members
  • Immediate start required due to current backlog and urgent staffing needs
