Overview

We are seeking a proactive Medical Receptionist to support a growing Florida-based psychiatric practice. You will manage patient communications and administrative workflows alongside an existing medical assistant to ensure seamless, high-quality care.


Schedule:

  • Mon-Fri 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM Eastern Time

Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming phone calls and respond to patient emails in a professional and timely manner.
  • Manage patient records, scheduling, and administrative updates with keen attention to detail.
  • Learn and perform all tasks currently handled by the existing medical assistant to ensure operational redundancy.
  • Communicate effectively with patients using clear, empathetic, and professional language.
  • Collaborate with the existing team member and participate in training to understand full practice workflows.


Must-Have Requirements

  • Proven experience in a medical or healthcare environment such as a clinic, hospital, or healthcare reception role.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate professionally and empathetically with patients.
  • Strong administrative skills including scheduling, record management, and handling sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a positive and cooperative attitude.
  • Availability to work full-time hours from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM Eastern Time, Monday through Friday.


Nice-to-Have Requirements

  • Previous experience working in a psychiatric practice or mental health setting.
  • HIPAA knowledge or certification related to patient privacy and healthcare compliance.
  • Demonstrated long-term commitment in previous roles with a track record of reliability and consistency.

  • This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement. Candidates must have their own computer and reliable internet connection, and are responsible for their own taxes and benefits. Professional hourly fees are established based on your performance in the application process.
