The Opportunity
Asia-Pacific represents one of the most exciting growth markets for crypto adoption globally. You will be responsible for establishing and scaling Checker’s presence across Vietnam, the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and additional Asian markets.
This is a ground-floor opportunity to build relationships and drive adoption with payment processors, consumer neobanks, brokerages, and banks across the region.
What You’ll Do
Business Development & Sales
Own the full sales cycle from prospecting to close for enterprise and mid-market accounts across Asia
Identify and pursue high-value opportunities across financial services, including banks, merchant acquirers, remittance providers, cross-border PSPs, neobanks, and crypto exchanges
Build and manage a robust pipeline using a consultative, solution-oriented sales approach
Navigate complex, multi-stakeholder sales processes involving CFOs, CTOs, compliance teams, and business leaders
Structure deals and negotiate contracts that balance customer needs with company objectives
Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and compliance teams to tailor solutions for regional requirements
Market Development & Brand Building
Serve as the face of Checker in Asia at industry conferences, fintech events, and client meetings
Develop and execute a regional go-to-market strategy aligned with local market dynamics and regulatory environments
Build strategic partnerships with payment processors, banking partners, and industry associations
Generate market intelligence on competitors, customer needs, and emerging opportunities
Create case studies and success stories that resonate with the Asian market
Contribute to marketing initiatives including webinars, thought leadership, and regional campaigns
What You Bring
Essential Requirements
7+ years of B2B sales experience with a track record of consistently exceeding quota, preferably in fintech, payments, or SaaS
Deep understanding of Asian financial services and payments across multiple countries, with existing networks in at least two core markets
Proven ability to source, develop, and close six-figure enterprise deals
Experience navigating regulatory environments and working with compliance teams in financial services
Fluent English required
Comfortable with cryptocurrency, blockchain technology, and digital asset payments (expertise not required, curiosity is)
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to articulate ROI and build compelling business cases
Self-starter capable of working independently in a remote environment
Willingness to travel 30–40% across Asia and occasionally to international offices
Highly Valued
Existing relationships with decision-makers at target accounts
Experience selling into trading, treasury, finance, or operations teams
Knowledge of cross-border payments challenges, including FX volatility, settlement timelines, payment methods, regulatory controls, and transaction costs
Understanding of Asian regulatory frameworks for crypto and digital payments
Experience building a territory from scratch or launching products in new markets
Experience recruiting, building, and scaling multi-functional regional teams
