Machine Operator (225-1016)

Responsibilities

• Set up machines at the beginning of the shift to ensure proper and efficient functioning.
• Monitor and control machine performance and settings to maintain production rates.
• Load and unload raw materials and finished products from machines.
• Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools to ensure correct dimensions.
• Ensure operations are safe, equipment is clean, and comply with health standards.
• Identify and resolve issues quickly to prevent machine down time and production delays.
• Conduct routine maintenance and checks on machinery to ensure optimal functioning.
• Collaborate with the production team to meet production goals and quotas.
• Follow detailed instructions and diagrams to ensure product specification compliance.
• Work with supervisors to prioritize and complete tasks to schedule production timelines.
• Document machine operating data in logs as required by the department protocol.
• Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; technical degree is a plus.
• Proven experience as a Machine Operator or similar role in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of various machine operations and production procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings accurately.
• Familiarity with quality control and adherence to safety standards and protocols.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Strong physical stamina and strength to perform the tasks required of a Machine Operator.
