Job Description

The Logistics Assistant plays a crucial role in the logistical operations of a company. They are responsible for supporting the management of products, supplies, and services related to the inbound and outbound logistics processes. Their primary duty is to ensure that the supply chain process is efficient and effective in meeting customer requirements. This involves coordinating with various stakeholders to facilitate smooth movements of goods, managing inventory systems, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Logistics Assistants utilize their organizational skills to maintain accurate records and ensure the timely and accurate delivery of products. An excellent candidate will possess good problem-solving skills and be detail-oriented, as these traits are essential in managing the unpredictable nature of logistics operations.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations to ensure efficiency.
  • Manage inventory levels and reorder supplies as necessary.
  • Communicate with suppliers and customers to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Assist in the preparation of shipping documentation and customs compliance.
  • Monitor and report on transportation costs and logistics performance.
  • Resolve any arising problems or complaints in logistics operations.
  • Maintain updated records of orders, suppliers, and customers.
  • Coordinate with the warehouse team to streamline operations.
  • Support with logistics strategy planning sessions and discussions.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.
  • Assist in tracking shipments and manage logistics software tools.
  • Collaborate with various departments to improve logistical processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Previous experience in logistics or related customer service roles.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills are essential.
  • Good communication skills and a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of freight management and transportation logistics preferred.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
