You’ll be the right hand to a law firm partner, taking ownership of critical administrative functions that keep the practice running smoothly. This role offers the perfect blend of legal support and business operations, where you’ll help streamline processes while working directly with a team of attorneys. You’ll have the opportunity to grow with the firm and become an integral part of their success story.


Job Highlights:

  • Paid Hours per Week: 40
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 am to 6 pm MST, includes 1 hr unpaid break
  • Work Arrangement: Work from home
  • Contract: Independent Contractor

Side note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and an “Independent Contractor” arrangement, the candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.


Responsibilities:

  • Handle time entry and billing processes using legal software to ensure accurate client invoicing
  • Create and manage new legal matters in the firm’s case management system
  • Assign tasks to team members and follow up to ensure timely completion
  • Draft and send professional emails and correspondence on behalf of the partner
  • Prepare basic non-legal letters and documents following firm templates
  • Assist in developing and implementing new systems to improve operational efficiency
  • Coordinate with the five-attorney team to support seamless workflow
  • Provide general administrative support to enhance overall firm productivity
  • Integrate with team meetings and collaborative planning sessions


Requirements:

  • Legal background or strong familiarity with legal terminology and processes is required
  • Experience with legal software and case management systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and follow up consistently
  • Bonus if you have customer service or receptionist experience
  • It helps if you’re comfortable with both business and light personal administrative tasks
