Lead Salesforce Developer

Job Overview

As a Lead Developer you will be responsible for the delivery of technology solutions to clients in both project and managed service/support engagements.

About You

Youre the "roll-up-your-sleeves" type who is always willing to take on new and/or bigger challenges. You will be organised, adaptable, and capable of working across multiple projects and timelines. You will be a reliable source of information for each of the teams, with a curious mind, a desire to learn and excellent relationship management skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Delivering all assigned projects utilizing Waterfall, Agile or hybrid methodologies
• Maintaining and upgrading existing systems
• Writing and implementing efficient and secure code with proper unit testing following best practices.
• Maintain adherence to development best practices and standards, including version control with tools like Git.
• Familiarity with DevOps best practices including but not limited to Salesforce and OmniStudio
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Leading, mentoring and supporting other developers in the team
• Working closely with UX designers, project managers, business and systems analysts/architects
• Identifying areas for modification in existing software and subsequently developing these modifications
• Determining operational practicality
• Developing quality assurance procedures
• Ensuring project documentation, both internal and external that is delivered, aligns to standards
• Deploying software tools, processes, and metrics
• Researching, designing, implementing, and managing software programs
• Training users
• Testing and evaluating new programs
  
  

• Must have experience or knowledge in any of the following object-oriented or functional programming languages, but not limited to: Apex, JavaScript, Python and Rust
• Must have experience or knowledge in any of the following data query languages, but not limited to: SOQL, SQL (e.g. Postgres, MySQL), NoSQL (e.g. MongoDB)
• Must have experience or knowledge in web technologies: HTML, CSS
• Must have experience and expertise in ApexDocs and how to use it to document code effectively.
• Must have experience and knowledge of PMD and how to write code that meets PMD requirements.
• Proficient in using platforms such as Bitbucket and GitHub, and familiar with CI/CD tools like Gearset. Confident in utilising Salesforce CLI for retrieving and deploying changes, as well as managing data and metadata efficiently.
• Experience or knowledge in any of the following cloud solutions, but not limited to: Salesforce, Heroku, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Oracle
• Familiarity with any of the following frontend/UI frameworks/libraries is a plus: React, Angular, Vue, Styled Components, Lightning, Lightning / Lightning Web Components
• Familiarity with any of the following mobile frameworks/libraries is a plus: React Native, Flutter, iOS
• Familiarity and knowledge of best practices with OmniStudio: OmniScripts, Flex Cards, Data Mappers, Integration Procedures, Client Side and Service Side Document Generation
• Familiarity with any of the following backend frameworks/libraries is a plus: Node.js, GraphQL
• Knowledge and interest in mobile/web development, and the latest technologies
• The ability to learn new technologies quickly
• The ability to communicate complex procedures to other colleagues and clients
• Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
• Attention to detail and desire to probe further into data
• Attention to feedback and willingness to always improve outcomes
  
  

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Salesforce Certifications but not limited to the following:
• Certified Platform Developer I
• Certified Platform Developer II
• Certified Javascript Developer I
• OmniStudio Developer
• Certified Administrator
• Certified Platform App Builder
