Job Description

Spearhead the full lifecycle of designing, building, and rolling out large-scale Java-based systems.
Create and deliver robust, scalable, and secure technical solutions, ideally leveraging Azure cloud services.
Integrate AI and machine learning features-such as APIs, predictive models, and automation tools-into core applications.
Partner closely with various business and technical teams to convert functional needs into well‑structured technical plans.
Offer hands-on technical direction, mentorship, and coaching to development team members.
Define, promote, and uphold development guidelines, coding standards, and architectural patterns.
Conduct code assessments, optimize system performance, and lead efforts in diagnosing complex technical issues.
Oversee project schedules, manage deliverables, and coordinate resource allocation.
Ensure adherence to DevOps principles, CI/CD workflows, and modern cloud development practices.
Keep current with advancements in cloud technologies, AI innovations, and distributed architecture frameworks.

The Successful Applicant

A Successful Lead Java Engineer Should Have

Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
Around 5-7+ years of hands‑on experience working with Java, including 2-3 years in a team lead or senior technical role.
Deep proficiency in Java frameworks and tools, particularly Spring Boot and microservice‑based architectures.
Working knowledge or practical exposure to Microsoft Azure services such as App Services, Azure Functions, Kubernetes (AKS), and Azure DevOps pipelines.
Background in integrating AI or machine learning features-whether through REST APIs, Azure AI, OpenAI, or comparable platforms.
Strong grasp of designing and consuming REST services, distributed computing concepts, and event‑driven system patterns.
Experience working with both SQL and NoSQL database technologies.
Demonstrated ability to guide engineering teams and successfully deliver complex, multi‑layered software projects.
