Laboratory Technician 10N25

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in assisting scientists and researchers with laboratory tests, experiments, and analyses. As a Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining laboratory equipment, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of samples, and supporting the scientific team to achieve research goals efficiently. You should have a strong understanding of laboratory procedures, safety protocols, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. This role requires excellent organizational and communication skills and a keen eye for detail to ensure high-quality results in all laboratory activities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and organize laboratory equipment and instruments for experiments and testing.
• Conduct routine and specialized tests following standard laboratory procedures.
• Document and record test results accurately and maintain detailed logs.
• Assist in the research and development of experimental procedures and protocols.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of laboratory work areas at all times.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory protocols within the laboratory environment.
• Calibrate and perform routine maintenance on laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy.
• Collect, label, and prepare samples for analysis in a timely manner.
• Communicate regularly with scientists and researchers to discuss results and provide input.
• Assist in ordering and maintaining inventory of laboratory supplies and consumables.
• Monitor and log data from experiments for presentation in lab meetings or reports.
• Participate in laboratory meetings and training sessions to stay updated on new procedures.

Requirements

• Associate degree or higher in laboratory science, biology, or a related field.
• At least two years of experience working as a laboratory technician preferred.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory safety standards and protocols essential.
• Proficient with laboratory equipment and technologies, including microscopes and centrifuges.
• Excellent record-keeping skills and attention to detail for data management.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a scientific team.
• Strong communication skills to convey technical information effectively to team members.
