HipComic is one of the largest online marketplaces for comic books, and our comic buying and auction consignment business is growing fast. Every month, 4,000+ collectors and sellers come to us - through HipComic, ComicsIntoCash, our My Collection: Comic Scanner app, and our direct channels - looking for help turning their collections into cash. Your job: give the leads you work a fast, professional, persuasive response, and turn the best collections into closed deals - whether that's an outright purchase or an auction consignment.

We're looking for a junior-level sales professional: a proven closer with several years of real sales experience who still brings hunger to every call. You'll be on the phone every day, working a high-volume book of inbound leads with total precision. You do NOT need to know comics on day one - we'll teach you, back you with in-house comic experts, and arm you with proprietary valuation technology that does the heavy lifting on pricing while you focus on selling. • Work a Firehose of Inbound Leads: Our shared inbound leads pipeline takes in 4,000+ new seller leads every month - all inbound (no cold calling). You'll work your leads within the pipeline strategy and priorities set by our sales leadership: speed-to-lead, disciplined follow-up, and moving each lead from first contact to closed deal.
• Multi-Channel Engagement, On the Phone Every Day: Communicate with leads through email, text, and phone at every pipeline stage - and yes, you'll be on the phone every single day, running discovery calls, valuation conversations, negotiations, and closes. Nothing converts a collection like a real conversation.
• Convert and Close: Use consultative selling and negotiation to win collections against competing buyers. We both buy collections outright and consign them to auction - so you'll learn to match each seller with the right path.
• Valuations & Deal Structuring: Provide cash purchase offers and auction estimates, qualify collections by size and value, and structure the right deal for each seller - leveraging our proprietary pricing technology and in-house expertise.
• Keep a Ruthlessly Organized CRM: Every lead you touch is logged, staged, tasked, and followed up on schedule. You'll manage 50+ active conversations at any given time and let nothing fall through the cracks.
• Get Out There (Up to 20% Travel): Travel to meet leads in person - sitting down with sellers interested in selling or consigning, evaluating their collections on site, and closing deals face to face.
• KPI Maestro: Own your numbers - lead response time, contact rate, conversion rate, and GMV bought and consigned.
  

• A Proven Closer: You bring roughly 2-5 years of sales experience and a track record of converting and closing at volume. You've outgrown entry-level work, but you're still hungry, competitive, and motivated by a role where results speak louder than titles.
• A Phone Native: Daily call volume energizes you rather than drains you. You're comfortable dialing all day, and you know how to build trust with a stranger in the first two minutes of a conversation.
• Extremely Well Organized: You can juggle a high volume of leads and 50+ simultaneous client conversations without dropping a single follow-up. Lists, cadences, and pipeline stages are how you think.
• A CRM & Tools Power User: You're fluent in modern CRM systems - pipelines, stages, tasks, templates, and reporting - and quick to master new software. You'll live in our CRM, the My Collection app, and our internal pricing tools every day, and you treat clean data as a competitive weapon, not a chore.
• Client-Centric to the Core: For many sellers, a collection represents decades of passion (and sometimes a family inheritance). You handle every conversation with empathy, honesty, and professionalism, and it shows in your reviews and referrals.
• Comics Curious Today, Comics Expert in One Year: You don't need to know a key issue from a variant cover when you start - our valuation technology and comic experts have you covered while you ramp. But you're genuinely excited to immerse yourself in the hobby, and you understand that comic book expertise is a firm expectation of this role: within 12 months, you'll be able to talk keys, grades, eras, and market values with serious collectors.
  

Employees are expected to work Monday-Friday within standard operating hours of 7am-5pm Eastern Time Monday-Thursday, and 7am-12pm Eastern Time Friday.
