Job Description

As an IT Support Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our organization's IT infrastructure. Your primary responsibility will be to provide technical assistance and support to internal teams and external clients, ensuring smooth and efficient technology operations. You will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving hardware and software issues, as well as assisting with system upgrades and configurations. Your expertise will be vital in training users and ensuring that all IT-related queries and issues are handled professionally and efficiently. You will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, requiring excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to all users via phone, email, or in-person.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Perform regular system upgrades, updates, and maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members to implement new software and hardware solutions.
  • Document and track issues, ensuring accurate records of all interventions.
  • Install, configure, and manage operating systems, software, and applications.
  • Maintain network stability and troubleshoot connectivity issues when they arise.
  • Provide user training and support for software applications and tools.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for hardware and software procurement.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures.
  • Monitor system performance and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Respond to security breaches and implement measures to enhance system security.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience as an IT Support Engineer or similar role in IT support.
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and network systems.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving common technology issues efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills with a customer-oriented approach.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and experience in ticketing systems advantageous.
