Job Description

Role: Insurance Underwriters

Location: Remote

We are hiring experienced insurance underwriting professionals to support technology-driven risk assessment and workflow evaluation projects. This contract role is ideal for P&C underwriters looking to apply their expertise in a modern, analytics-focused environment.

What You’ll Do

Review application data, loss history, and third-party reports to assess risk
Calculate premiums using ISO manuals, class codes, and rating guidelines
Analyze claims data and evaluate loss trends
Draft coverage terms, endorsements, and declarations
Provide clear underwriting decisions with documented rationale

What You Bring

5+ years in commercial or personal lines underwriting
Experience with Guidewire, Duck Creek, or similar tools
Strong understanding of ISO codes, rating manuals, and policy forms
Ability to evaluate multi-line risks and interpret reports like CLUE, MVR, LexisNexis
Strong analytical and documentation skills

Role Details

Remote & asynchronous
~30 hours/week
~6-week engagement
Independent contractor position

Compensation

$50–80 per hour
