Job Overview

We are urgently seeking experienced Insurance Eligibility Specialists to join our team. The ideal candidates have prior call center experience, are knowledgeable about insurance processes, and can efficiently handle eligibility and authorization tasks through various insurance portals.


Job Highlights

Hourly Rate: The equivalent of $5.00 USD per hour in the applicant’s local currency

Schedule: Mondays to Fridays, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Eastern Time

Work Arrangement: Work from home

Contract: Independent Contractor


Side Note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and the arrangement is that of an “Independent Contractor,” the selected candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.


Responsibilities

  • Handle inbound and outbound calls related to insurance eligibility and authorizations
  • Verify patient coverage and benefits
  • Submit and follow up on prior authorizations
  • Navigate multiple insurance portals to obtain necessary information
  • Accurately document calls and maintain records in internal systems
  • Communicate effectively with providers, patients, and internal teams
  • Resolve insurance-related inquiries in a timely and professional manner


Requirements

  • HIPAA certified (or completed formal HIPAA training)
  • Prior BPO experience, preferably in healthcare insurance verification
  • Experience verifying eligibility, benefits, deductibles, copays, and prior authorizations
  • Knowledge of PPO, OAP, HMO, POS and other commercial plans
  • Strong experience handling outbound and inbound phone calls with insurance providers
  • Familiarity with insurance portals
  • Ability to accurately document verification details in EMR or practice management systems
  • Strong attention to detail and compliance with patient data privacy standards
  • Excellent verbal communication and professional phone etiquette
