Job Description

The Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Advisor 14D25 plays a critical role in ensuring that all organizational activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations. This position demands an individual with a robust understanding of industry-specific laws and regulations and the ability to craft, implement, and monitor effective HSE policies. Beyond regulatory compliance, the HSE Advisor fosters a safety-first culture through proactive risk assessment, incident management, and continuous improvement strategies. As part of the role, the HSE Advisor will be expected to collaborate closely with various departments, provide expert advice, and ensure that HSE protocols are not only followed but ingrained in every facet of the company's operations. This role requires strong communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work well under pressure.


Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive HSE management system for all operations.
  • Conduct regular HSE audits and inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Identify potential workplace hazards and design strategies to mitigate associated risks.
  • Deliver HSE training sessions to employees to promote a culture of safety awareness.
  • Investigate workplace incidents and near misses, ensuring timely resolution and reporting.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for all HSE matters within the organization.
  • Collaborate with department heads to integrate HSE practices into daily operations.
  • Prepare and present reports on HSE performance and recommend improvement actions.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal health and safety regulations.
  • Manage the implementation of emergency response plans and drills across all sites.
  • Monitor and update HSE policies to reflect changes in regulations and industry trends.
  • Lead and participate in risk assessment processes for new projects and modifications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an HSE advisory role within the industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of local and federal HSE regulations and standards.
  • Demonstrated ability with risk assessment and incident investigation methodologies.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral, in professional settings.
  • Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in using HSE management software and Microsoft Office applications.
