Job Description

The HR Assistant role is a vital part of the Human Resources team, providing crucial support in various HR functions and operations. This position involves assisting with employee relations, recruitment processes, handling employee records, and ensuring compliance with HR policies and procedures. The HR Assistant is responsible for delivering excellent customer service to both internal and external clients, maintaining a high level of confidentiality, and exhibiting strong organizational and communication skills. With a focus on improving workplace efficiency, this role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. By supporting the HR department's operations, the HR Assistant contributes significantly to fostering a positive and productive work environment.


Responsibilities

  • Assist with the recruitment process, including posting job vacancies and screening resumes.
  • Maintain and update employee records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
  • Provide administrative support to HR managers and directors as needed.
  • Prepare and process necessary HR documents related to employee onboarding.
  • Handle inquiries related to company HR policies and employee benefits.
  • Schedule meetings and interviews, coordinating with relevant departments and candidates.
  • Support the execution of HR programs and initiatives as directed by management.
  • Organize and maintain the HR department’s filing system for easy retrieval of information.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports on HR metrics and data analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Coordinate training sessions and employee development activities as required.
  • Contribute to the improvement and implementation of HR policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in an administrative role within an HR department is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for this position.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
  • Knowledge of HR software and databases is a plus, but not mandatory.
