Job Description

The role of a Housekeeping Supervisor is essential in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and organization in hospitality environments such as hotels, resorts, or hospitals. The position involves overseeing the housekeeping staff, conducting regular inspections of rooms and areas, and ensuring that cleaning protocols are strictly adhered to. Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping operations and tasks for staff.
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and common areas for cleanliness.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate housekeeping staff to ensure quality service.
  • Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels.
  • Communicate with maintenance team regarding repair issues or damage in rooms.
  • Plan and manage work schedules to ensure timely completion of tasks by staff.
  • Implement and monitor compliance with housekeeping policies and procedures.
  • Resolve guest concerns and complaints promptly to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Liaise with front office and management to coordinate room turnovers effectively.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to optimize team productivity.
  • Develop and implement housekeeping strategies that improve operational quality and efficiency.
  • Ensure safety and hygiene standards are consistently maintained throughout the premises.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a housekeeping supervisor or in a similar role.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide staff.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in all tasks.
  • Ability to handle complaints and resolve conflicts diplomatically and effectively.
  • Proficiency in housekeeping management software and MS Office applications.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
