Job Description

The Head of Sales - Global FMCG is responsible for leading the strategy, planning, and execution of all modern & emerging trade activities to deliver revenue, market share, and profitability targets. This role will manage key retail partnerships, optimize trade terms, and ensure best-in-class execution across all modern trade channels. The position requires strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and leadership capabilities to drive sustainable growth.

  • Strategic Leadership & Growth: Develop and implement a modern trade strategy aligned with overall business objectives, identify growth opportunities within the channel, and lead initiatives to capture them. Drive joint business planning with retailers to enhance category growth and shopper engagement.
  • Account Management & Execution: Build and maintain strong relationships with top retail accounts, negotiate annual trade agreements, pricing, and promotional plans to maximize ROI, and ensure flawless in-store execution of promotions, merchandising, and planograms. Monitor compliance with trade terms and promotional activities while tracking and analyzing channel performance, market trends, and competitor activities to provide actionable insights.
  • Team Leadership & Performance: Lead, coach, and develop the modern trade team to achieve sales and execution excellence, foster a high-performance culture focused on collaboration and results, and ensure capability building to support long-term business objectives.


The Successful Applicant

  • Extensive senior leadership experience in sales within a globalFMCG or consumer goods environment
  • Proven track record managing complex, multi‑market and multi‑channel commercial operations
  • Strong expertise in pricing, trade terms, negotiation, and revenue management
  • Demonstrated ability to turn market, customer, and consumer insights into actionable growth strategies
  • Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills across senior and cross‑functional environments
  • Forward-thinking approach to channel development, category growth, and joint business planning with retail partners.
  • People Leadership & Collaboration - Inspires and motivates teams to achieve excellence while fostering a culture of collaboration and capability development across functions.
