Job Description

Role Title: Growth Product Designer (Contract: end Nov 27, 2026)

Duration: Maternity Leave Cover

Core Function: UI Design + Experimentation + Data Analysis

About The Role

We are looking for a candidate that sits at the intersection of Product Design and Growth Marketing/Data Science. This is a specialized hybrid role where the individual has both UI skills, as well as, math and pixels. This person will own the end-to-end lifecycle of an experiment: from designing the UI in high fidelity to defining the hypothesis, running the test, and calculating the statistical significance of the results in Mixpanel.

What You Will Be Doing:

This role is a 50/50 split between Visual Execution and Data Strategy:

1. High-Fidelity UI Design

  • Designing production-ready landing pages, onboarding flows, and interface elements.
  • Creating variants for A/B testing (e.g., designing "Version A" vs. "Version B" of a registration page). Maintaining our design system while pushing boundaries for conversion optimization.

2. Experiment Design (The Scientific Method)

  • Hypothesis Construction: Ability to write clear test briefs (e.g., "By increasing the density of clickable elements in Section X, we predict Time on Page will increase by Y%, leading to higher registration intent.")
  • Metric Definition: Identifying exactly what success looks like before the design starts (e.g., retention, conversion rate, time-on-page).

3. Data Analysis & Statistical Rigor

  • Tracking: proficiency with Mixpanel (or similar tools) to build funnels and track user behavior.
  • Significance Testing: This is critical. (understanding p-values, confidence intervals, and sample size requirements) rather than just looking at a raw percentage increase.
  • Reporting: Translating data into design iterations. (e.g., "The test failed to reach significance, but the heatmaps show users are getting stuck at the footer, so the next design iteration should focus there.")

What We are Looking For:

  • Preferred 3 +years experience with Figma
  • Preferred 3 + years experience with Mixpanel
  • Proficiency in End-to-End UX/UI Design
  • Interest in information design, graphic design, data visualization, and visual communication
  • Experience with user research, testing, creating personas and user flows
  • Must be proficient in the entire experimentation loop: hypothesis generation, test design (sample size, duration), deployment, analysis, and iteration.
  • Ability to differentiate and act upon the difference between statistical significance and business significance.
  • A proven track record of driving measurable business outcomes (e.g., increased conversion, reduced churn, revenue growth).
