Job Description

Our client is a fast-scaling AI + operations company with 1,000+ employees, 2,700+ contractors across 15 countries, and revenue growing faster than its financial infrastructure can keep up.

The company makes money. The problem is nobody can tell you exactly how much, exactly where, or exactly when its arriving.

Invoices are chased manually. Contractor payments span three currencies and 15 countries with no unified pipeline. Reconciliation takes days that should take minutes. The CEO asks a financial question and the answer takes 48 hours to assemble from scattered spreadsheets.

Finance and Accounting dont need more effort. They need someone to install the systems that make the effort count.

THE ROLE

You join the Founders Office — a small, high-agency team that reports directly to the Chief of Staff and embeds in different parts of the business on 2–3 month sprints. Think internal SWAT team. Your first sprint: Finance & Accounting Operations.

Three jobs. Thats it.

1.Install systems that actually work

An invoicing workflow that fires the moment a job is delivered. A payment pipeline that handles 2,700 contractors without a single "wheres my money?" message. A reporting layer that gives the CEO real-time answers — not spreadsheet archaeology. A month-end close process thats documented, automated, and doesnt depend on one persons memory.

You dont clean up the books. You build the infrastructure so the books close themselves.

2.Fix what others cant

A client is 60 days overdue and nobody flagged it — you build the alert that catches it at 15. Contractor payments failed in batch and 200 people are waiting — you dont just rerun the batch, you fix the process so batches dont fail. The finance team cant produce a margin analysis by client because the data lives in four places — you put it in one.

When a payment falls through the cracks, you dont fix the case. You fix the system that let it happen.

3.Make Finance a strategic function

Right now, Finance is reactive — processing payments, answering queries, reconciling after the fact. It should be proactive — forecasting cash, flagging margin erosion, telling the CEO where to invest before he asks.

Every system you build moves Finance from back office to the room where decisions are made.

Day 1 you map the broken workflows end to end. Day 3 youre building payment trackers, invoicing automations, and reporting frameworks. Day 5 youre presenting a 30-day roadmap to the CEO.

YOURE A FIT IF

  • Youve built financial systems — not just processed transactions, but built the workflows and infrastructure underneath
  • You think in unit economics: cost per file, margin by client, revenue per contractor hour
  • You can take a messy, manual finance process and turn it into something anyone can run without you
  • Youve worked in high-volume environments — thousands of contractors, not a team of 20
  • You ship first, polish later — MVPs over masterplans
  • Youre comfortable with tools like Google Sheets, Make.com, Wise, Xero/QBO — or you learn new tools in hours, not weeks
  • You can talk to the CEO about cash flow forecasting and debug a failed payment batch in the same afternoon
  • You use AI to move faster — not as a crutch

YOURE NOT A FIT IF

  • You think finance ops means running month-end close and filing reports
  • You think accounting means data entry with better labels
  • You need a fully built system handed to you before you can operate
  • Youve never looked at a reconciliation and thought "why does anyone do this manually?"
  • You freeze when data is incomplete instead of building with what you have and flagging gaps

DETAILS

  • Location: Remote — core hours PHT (Manila time)
  • Reports to: Chief of Staff
  • Structure: Sprint-based — Finance & Accounting Ops (first 2–3 months), then rotate
  • Tools: Google Workspace, Make.com, Wise, PandaDoc, Monday.com, Claude AI

——

This isnt a role for someone who wants to do bookkeeping.

This isnt a role for someone who wants to do accounting.

This is a role for someone who wants to engineer how a company with 2,700 contractors across 15 countries manages its money — and make it look easy.

Apply if you read this and immediately started thinking about where the financial systems are broken.
