Job Description

As a Facilities Associate, you play a crucial role in maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient environment in our organization. Your primary responsibility is to support the operations team by performing maintenance and cleaning tasks, monitoring building security, and coordinating various facilities-related projects. You will also assist with event set-ups and ensure that equipment is properly maintained to reduce downtime. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. In addition, the Facilities Associate must respond rapidly to emergency situations and manage unexpected issues to ensure smooth daily operations.


Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to preserve the condition and functionality of the facilities.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify needs for repairs and renovations within the building.
  • Coordinate cleaning services and ensure all areas meet health and safety standards.
  • Assist in setting up meeting rooms, events, and conferences according to client specifications.
  • Monitor and maintain the security and safety systems within the premises.
  • Manage office furniture and equipment setup, relocation, and disposal as required.
  • Oversee contractor services and ensure adherence to service agreements terms.
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations and resolve issues affecting the facilities.
  • Support sustainability initiatives through waste management and energy-saving measures.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and service tasks completed within the facilities.
  • Liaise with vendors and service providers to facilitate repairs and installations timely.
  • Provide assistance and support to the facilities management team on a daily basis.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent required for this position.
  • At least two years' experience in facilities maintenance or related field.
  • Strong practical knowledge of building maintenance and repair processes.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills in a busy environment.
  • Ability to identify and resolve facility-related problems efficiently.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with team members.
  • Flexibility to work outside regular business hours, if required.
