About The Opportunity
Resource Management serves as the critical “glue” within our Services organization—bridging the Delivery and Consulting Resources teams to ensure the right people are assigned to the right projects at the right time. The Resource Manager (RM) plays a pivotal role in anticipating staffing needs, aligning talent with business objectives, and maintaining a balance between project requirements and individual consultant development goals.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Resource Management, this role requires a proactive, relationship-driven professional with a strong understanding of resource planning, consulting operations, and workforce analytics.
What You’ll Get To Do
- Resource Planning & Allocation
- Partner with business and delivery leaders to identify staffing requirements and match resources effectively.
- Anticipate future resource needs by collaborating with the Delivery organization to forecast skill demand and project pipeline opportunities.
- Adjust resource assignments in response to project changes, ensuring optimal alignment of skills and availability.
- Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with consulting managers, project leaders, and operations teams to understand project goals and skill requirements.
- Develop trusted relationships with consulting staff to gain insight into their capabilities, work styles, and career aspirations.
- Act as a liaison between leadership and consulting teams to balance organizational priorities with individual development objectives.
- Data-Driven Decision Making
- Analyze and maintain key business metrics such as utilization, capacity, and availability to identify trends, gaps, and optimization opportunities.
- Provide regular reporting and insights to leadership on resource demand, allocation, and skill distribution.
- Utilize analytics to drive informed staffing decisions and continuous improvement in resource planning processes.
- Operational Excellence
- Maintain an up-to-date skills inventory for all assigned resources.
- Partner with consulting and delivery leaders to define project-specific skill requirements.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of processes and tools that support effective resource management and forecasting.
- Exercise influence without formal authority to drive alignment and ensure optimal staffing outcomes.
Skills And Experience We Value
- Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) or equivalent professional experience
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical skills and metrics-driven mindset for problem solving and decision making
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
What Will Make You Stand Out
- 2+ years of experience in resource management, operations, or consulting services
- Proven success in demand planning, capacity forecasting, or workforce reporting
- Deep understanding of consulting services staffing processes
- High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build trust across all organizational levels
- Ability to remain composed and think strategically under pressure
- Logical, solution-oriented, and proactive approach to challenges
- Ability to work night shift PH time
