Job Role Summary/Overview

A leading player in the insurance sector, delivering innovative enterprise software solutions across property & casualty, life, and health insurance. With complex, high-value systems supporting critical insurance operations, they are committed to delivering reliable, efficient, and fully compliant software solutions. We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Enterprise QA Specialist to join our client’s project team as an independent contractor. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the quality, reliability, and compliance of enterprise insurance software implementations.


Job Highlights

  • Paid Hours per Week: 40
  • Schedule: Flexible during Sydney / AEST Business Hours
  • Work Arrangement: Work from home
  • Contract: Independent Contractor

Side note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and an “Independent Contractor” arrangement, the candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.


Responsibilities

  • Develop, document, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for enterprise insurance systems.
  • Perform functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT) across web and backend platforms.
  • Validate workflows for insurance operations, including policy administration, claims processing, underwriting, and billing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to QA standards and best practices throughout the SDLC.
  • Assist in the creation of realistic test data and environments simulating insurance scenarios.
  • Provide QA support during production deployments and post-release validation.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies, contributing to sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.


What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 3+ years of QA experience in software implementation projects, preferably in the insurance industry.
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, testing tools, and processes.
  • Experience with tools such as JIRA, TestRail, HP ALM, or similar.
  • Knowledge of relational databases and SQL for data validation.
  • Familiarity with API testing tools (Postman, SoapUI) is a plus.
