E-Commerce SEO Assistant

Job Overview

As an E-commerce SEO Specialist, you will be responsible for optimizing and maintaining a growing online product catalog to improve search visibility, organic traffic, and overall product page performance. This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in e-commerce SEO who can independently manage on-page optimization efforts, ensure proper indexing across search engines, and provide strategic recommendations to support long-term content and growth initiatives. You will play a key role in helping the business improve discoverability and maximize the performance of up to 500 product listings.

Job Highlights

Schedule: Monday to Friday 4 hrs per day flexible within daytime to overlap clients time

Responsibilities

• Optimize product pages with accurate meta tags, descriptions, and alt text to improve search visibility
• Index each product page with Google to ensure proper discoverability across search engines
• Manage and maintain a growing catalog of up to 500 products on the websites back end
• Provide strategic SEO recommendations to guide content creation efforts such as blog posts tied to product collections
• Monitor and improve on-page SEO elements to drive organic traffic and product page performance
• Conduct ongoing SEO audits to identify gaps and opportunities across the product catalog

Requirements:

• Proven e-commerce SEO experience, particularly with product page optimization
• Proficiency working within Shopify or similar e-commerce platforms
• Fluency in English with strong written communication skills
• High level of attention to detail when managing large volumes of product data
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Solid understanding of Google indexing, on-page SEO best practices, and search engine algorithms
