Job Overview

Our client is looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to serve as the financial backbone of a growing design company. In this role, you will ensure accurate reconciliation of high-volume e-commerce transactions while providing exceptional customer service. This position combines technical accounting expertise with direct customer interaction, making you essential to both financial accuracy and customer satisfaction. You will work directly with major platforms like Amazon and Walmart, handling complex reconciliations that directly impact the company’s bottom line.

Schedule

• Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM PST, with a 30-minute break (40 work hours per week)

Note: Potential for overtime during busy periods such as year-end closing.

Responsibilities

• E-commerce Reconciliation: Perform daily account reconciliations for major platforms (Amazon, Walmart); enter and reconcile large e-commerce payments and coordinate with the E-commerce Team on unresolved items.
• Financial Data Entry: Enter payments, customer checks, and financial data into QuickBooks with precision using spreadsheet logs and check stub images; maintain accurate journal entries.
• Transaction Troubleshooting: Resolve customer payment processing issues and troubleshoot credit card discrepancies; manage automated card processing for prepayment customers.
• Customer Communication: Communicate with customers via phone and email to resolve payment disputes, billing issues, and collections; coordinate with Order Processing and Sales teams as needed.
• Workflow Management: Manage accounts receivable workflows across retail, wholesale, and e-commerce channels; handle complex Excel-based analysis for multi-channel operations.
• Reporting & Support: Support month-end and year-end closing processes with detailed reconciliation work and allowance account management.

Requirements

• At least 3–5 years of experience in an Accounts Receivable role.
• Strong proficiency with QuickBooks software, including familiarity with journal entries.
• Advanced MS Excel skills for complex reconciliation and data analysis.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree or higher in Accounting or Finance (Required).
• Experience with e-commerce platform reconciliations (Amazon Seller Central or Walmart Marketplace) (Highly Valued).
• Experience with allowance accounts (Highly Desired).
• Familiarity with accounts receivable processes in retail or wholesale environments (Preferred).

This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement.
