About the Client: The Client owns and operates a hair salon business that is looking to increase bookings for its staff and achieve aggressive growth. The business has an established presence (website, Instagram) but lacks strategic, high-volume marketing content and dedicated management time. The firm is seeking a dedicated specialist to implement a marketing overhaul and secure a minimum of 10 extra leads per month for the stylists.

About the Role: We are hiring one Full-Time Virtual Specialist to serve as the strategic marketing engine. This role is focused on content strategy, social media management, and measurable lead generation. The primary mission is to be highly strategic and independent in all posting and blogging efforts to increase brand visibility, drive bookings, and ensure a strong return on investment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Social Media Management & Content Strategy (Primary Focus)

  • High-Volume Posting: Manage and execute content posting across all platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Google Business, and YouTube (five posts per week suggested).
  • Strategic Content: Develop, create, and post engaging content that is targeted (optimized with location tags, trending sounds, and CTAs) to attract specific clientele.
  • Asset Management: Repurpose existing content (Reels, Shorts, Stories, before/afters) for multi-platform posting.
  • Campaign Coordination: Coordinate content drops for events, new service launches, and promotions.

2. Website & SEO Content Creation

  • Blogging: Write and publish two SEO-optimized blog posts per week (on topics like hair care, services, and solutions) directly to the website or salon software (e.g., Vagaro) to drive traffic.
  • Content Planning: Create monthly content topics for the blog ahead of time for review.

3. Analytics, Reporting & Organization

  • Performance Tracking: Provide weekly reports covering post engagement, blog performance, email open/click rates, and review activity (Google Reviews).
  • Strategy Adjustment: Suggest data-driven adjustments to the marketing strategy (e.g., top performing content, best posting times).
  • Drive Organization: Organize the Google Drive library (Content, Events, Training, etc.) and maintain a running content library for easy access.
  • Reputation Management: Monitor and respond to all client reviews (Google Reviews) and flag any negative feedback.

4. Email Marketing & Business Development

  • Email Campaigns: Create and send at least one email campaign per month (e.g., newsletters, service updates, seasonal promotions).
  • List Management: Build and manage segmented email lists.
  • Partnerships: Identify and reach out to local organizations (schools, gyms, community partners) for potential cross-promotional collaborations.


Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven experience in digital marketing, content strategy and social media management.
  • Ability to create and execute a strategic, results-oriented content plan.
  • Strong understanding of how to drive qualified leads through online platforms.
  • Excellent written communication skills for blogging and content creation.
  • Must be a self-starter, capable of working independently and reporting directly to the business owner.
