About the Role

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to help manage and scale our cloud-native infrastructure. This role combines infrastructure engineering and application support, with a strong focus on migrating legacy workloads to AWS EKS and supporting our Java-based application stack.

You will play an important role in ensuring our environments remain secure, compliant, and highly automated, while collaborating closely with developers and operations teams.

This role requires working in a shift schedule to support global operations, including participation in an on-call rotation to maintain 24/7 production availability.

What You’ll Be Doing

Infrastructure Migration

• Assist with the migration of services from legacy environments (EC2 / on-premise) into Kubernetes (AWS EKS).

Deployment Automation

• Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines using ArgoCD and Helm, enabling reliable and repeatable deployments.

Security & Compliance

• Implement and review security controls aligned with best practices, including IAM least-privilege policies, encryption, and network security configurations.

Application Support

• Work closely with Java developers to troubleshoot containerized applications and optimize performance of Magnolia CMS instances.

On-Call & Operational Support

• Participate in a team on-call rotation to ensure the reliability and availability of production systems across multiple environments.

Infrastructure as Code

• Develop and maintain Terraform modules to provision and manage AWS infrastructure across Development, Staging, and Production environments.

What We Are Looking For

AWS

• 3+ years of experience working with AWS cloud services
• Strong experience with EKS, VPC networking, and core AWS infrastructure components

Kubernetes

• Experience managing Kubernetes workloads
• Troubleshooting pods, deployments, and cluster issues
• Familiarity with Helm charts

GitOps & CI/CD

• Hands-on experience with ArgoCD or similar GitOps continuous delivery tools

Java Ecosystem

• Basic familiarity with Java application environments
• Exposure to tools such as Maven or Gradle
• Understanding of JVM tuning or application troubleshooting is a plus

Infrastructure as Code

• Experience using Terraform to provision and manage infrastructure

Security & Compliance

• Understanding of cloud security best practices
• Experience with encryption, IAM policies, and infrastructure hardening
