Job Description

The Data Entry Specialist is responsible for managing and maintaining the integrity of our company's data. This crucial role involves inputting a high volume of information into our databases accurately and efficiently. As a guardian of our data, you will ensure that the information entered is correct and up-to-date, thereby supporting our overall operations with vital, reliable data. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality. In this position, you will work closely with various departments to ensure data consistency and availability, playing a vital role in how data drives our company operations and decision-making processes.


Responsibilities

  • Accurately input data into the company database systems and verify entries.
  • Review, process, and reconcile data discrepancies identified during data processing.
  • Ensure data integrity by performing regular checks and audits on entered data.
  • Maintain a detailed and organized database by updating entries as necessary.
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify and correct data entry errors.
  • Use data management software to input information and extract necessary details.
  • Ensure confidentiality and security of data being processed and shared.
  • Generate reports and summaries as required by the management team.
  • Provide technical support to end-users encountering issues with database entries.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of data entry processes and protocols.
  • Prepare data for processing by organizing information and prioritizing entries.
  • Assist with clerical tasks, such as filing and document retrieval, to support the team.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required for this position.
  • Proven experience in a data entry role or similar position is preferred.
  • Typing speed of at least 60 words per minute with accuracy.
  • Proficiency in office software applications, such as Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry tasks.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
  • Familiarity with data entry software and online forms is highly desirable.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with different teams.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with integrity and confidentiality.
