Job Description

As a Data Analyst specializing in Reconciliation for Alternative Investments, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial data. You will work closely with investment teams, technology departments, and other stakeholders to reconcile financial records, identify discrepancies, and implement corrections. Your expertise will bolster the organization's ability to make informed decisions about alternative investments. Responsibilities

  • Generate reports that detail reconciliation findings and present them to management.
  • Collaborate with technology teams to ensure data systems support reconciliation needs.
  • Monitor controls to maintain the integrity and security of financial data systems.
  • Design tests to evaluate the effectiveness of reconciliation strategies and methodologies.
  • Support the investment team with analytics for alternative investment opportunities.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and changes in regulatory requirements affecting reconciliation.
  • Train junior staff in best practices for data reconciliation and alternative investments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, data science, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in data reconciliation within financial services.
  • Strong understanding of alternative investments, including hedge funds and private equity.
  • Proficiency with data analysis and financial software such as Excel, SQL, and Python.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a meticulous approach to problem-solving tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Effective communication skills to convey complex data insights clearly to stakeholders.
