Overview

You will serve as the first point of contact for patients navigating their orthodontic care, providing timely and professional support through a mobile app–based chat system. This role plays a critical part in patient satisfaction by handling high-volume inquiries while ensuring complex concerns are escalated appropriately. You’ll work closely with treatment coordinators and healthcare teams across multiple time zones in a remote-first environment.


Job Highlights

Monthly Rate: Equivalent of USD 655/month in the applicants local currency

Schedule:

  • 1x person: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM AWST (includes 1-hour unpaid break)
  • 1x person: Saturday – Wednesday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM AWST (includes 1-hour unpaid break)

Responsibilities

  • Respond to patient inquiries and provide support through the company’s mobile app chat function
  • Handle general patient questions using established protocols and templated responses
  • Escalate complex cases and phone call requests to specialized treatment coordinators
  • Make outbound calls to dental clinics to verify appointment availability and scheduling
  • Manage patient complaints and concerns through professional written communication
  • Maintain accurate records of all patient interactions and communications
  • Collaborate with treatment coordinators and team members across multiple time zones
  • Follow healthcare compliance protocols and maintain patient confidentiality standards


Requirements

  • Excellent written English communication skills with impeccable grammar and spelling
  • Customer service experience with demonstrated ability to handle patient inquiries professionally
  • Comfortable working with technology platforms, mobile applications, and digital communication tools
  • Strong attention to detail for accurate patient communication and record-keeping
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment with a reliable internet connection
  • Empathy and patience when dealing with healthcare-related concerns and questions
  • Bonus if you have a healthcare, medical, or dental industry background
  • It helps if you have experience with chat-based customer support platforms


Side note

Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and an “Independent Contractor” arrangement, the candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional pay rate is based on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.
