Control And Instrumentation Engineering Specialist

POSITION FUNCTION/DESCRIPTION

The position is responsible for the continuing improvement and providing day-to-day advice for the Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), and all other system related to Control and Instrumentation (C&I) installed in the combined power plant assets of the Thermal Business Group

Provide technical support in the C&I system of plants during overhauls, plant failure situations and optimizing the approach for the full range of maintenance philosophies at the plant sites. 

Contribute to the resolution of technical issues inhibiting flexible plant performance through RCA’s, CAR’s and proposing and implementing plant improvement options, reviewing and implementing management of change.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience
Professional:  at least 3 years experience in DCS, C&I and OT system
Leadership Experience: none required
Project Experience: none required

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation or Automation or equivalent from an accredited institution
License Required
Evidence of Professional Competence essential: PRC licensed Electronics/Electrical Engineer (ECE/REE), or equivalent; Professional Institution Membership Desirable
