Qualifications

Must-Haves

  • Strong video editing experience (Adobe Premiere Pro required)

Responsibilities of the Content Production Assistant

Video Editing & Production

  • Edit a high volume of short-form 30 to 60-second videos (25–30 per week) for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube
  • Balance between quick-turnaround edits (5–10 minutes each) and more advanced edits requiring storytelling, trimming, and creative effects (45+ minutes each)
  • Add captions, transitions, overlays, sound effects, and branded elements to boost engagement
  • Repurpose long-form content into short, viral clips tailored for social media platforms
  • Research trending or viral clips daily and propose fresh editing concepts

Graphic Design & Animation

  • Create branded graphics, memes, and Instagram story visuals that align with campaign messaging
  • Use Canva and Adobe Illustrator to design layouts, posts, and shareable content
  • Produce simple memes (15–30 minutes per piece) as well as custom, AI-enhanced variations
  • Add animations ranging from basic movements (e.g., car crashes, text effects) to advanced storytelling visuals for higher impact
  • Collaborate with the creative team to develop visual storytelling that supports social engagement goals

Creative Direction & Collaboration

  • Participate in weekly social media brainstorming sessions to pitch and refine video ideas
  • Propose innovative editing styles, meme formats, and trend-based content opportunities
  • Work closely with creative team managers, social media strategists, and editors to ensure consistent brand voice and design
  • Contribute to the overall creative strategy by analyzing social media trends and audience engagement

Project Organization & Asset Management

  • Maintain structured organization of all video, audio, and design files in Google Drive
  • Tag and categorize content for easy access across teams
  • Support quarterly file clean-ups to optimize workflows and ensure content archives are updated
  • Track deadlines, prioritize tasks, and communicate project progress to stakeholders
  • Align with the team’s weekly production schedule (content sourcing early in the week, editing mid-week, delivery by Friday)

AI & Emerging Tech (Nice-to-Have)

  • Use ChatGPT to generate meme ideas, captions, and creative prompts for content development
  • Experiment with AI design tools like MidJourney and Google Veo 3 for advanced visual production
  • Modify and adapt existing memes or visuals using AI to create unique, brand-consistent content
  • Stay ahead of emerging creative tools to suggest new efficiencies and opportunities for innovation

Influencer & Research Support (Minor Responsibility during Downtime)

  • Identify high-engagement influencers and pages in target cities (e.g., New York, Philly, Chicago, LA) to collaborate with or repurpose content
  • Flag potential partnerships or viral opportunities
  • Maintain a shared database of influencer leads and content sources
