Construction Estimator - Takeoff Specialist

Job Overview

We're looking for an experienced Construction Estimator specializing in takeoffs for luxury residential projects. This role will focus exclusively on performing accurate and fast takeoffs for high-end custom homes, not full cost estimates. The ideal candidate must have prior experience working on luxury residential construction projects with US building standards and codes.

Client Overview

Our client is a luxury residential construction company based in Los Angeles specializing in custom-made homes. They manage high-end construction projects ranging from 20 to 30 million dollars with exceptional attention to detail and quality.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM PST, with 1 hour unpaid break (40 work hours per week)

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate and detailed takeoffs for luxury custom home construction projects using PlanSwift software.
• Process multiple project bids efficiently within tight timeframes while maintaining high accuracy.
• Review and interpret complex architectural plans for high-end residential properties with extensive detail.
• Ensure minimal errors in all takeoff work through thorough quality control processes.
• Work closely with the construction team to understand project specifications and building requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 to 5 years of proven experience performing construction takeoffs specifically for high-end or luxury residential projects.
• Proficiency with PlanSwift software for construction estimating and takeoffs.
• Strong understanding of US residential building procedures, construction methods, and California building codes.
• Demonstrated ability to work quickly and accurately while managing multiple bids simultaneously.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with US-based luxury construction companies or architects.
• Familiarity with custom home construction details and high-end finishes.
