Position: Commercial Estimator

Salary Range: $1500 - $2000

Work hours: EST Full Time

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed and accurate quantity take-offs for materials and labor for Division 9 (Drywall, acoustical ceilings, insulation, painting, etc.) scopes of work.
• Analyze and interpret construction documents, including blueprints, specifications, and project manuals.
• Utilize estimating software (e.g., On-Screen Takeoff, Planswift, Bluebeam) to complete take-offs and build estimates. On-screen Takeoff experience is considered a plus
• Collaborate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to understand project requirements and scope.
• Source and evaluate pricing from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive bids.
• Prepare and submit professional and well-organized bid proposals.
• Identify potential project risks and opportunities and communicate them to the project team.
• Maintain an organized and up-to-date database of project estimates, subcontractor bids, and supplier pricing.
• Stay current with industry trends, material costs, and new technologies in Divisions 9.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings as needed.
  
  

• Proven experience as a Commercial Estimator, with a strong focus on Division 9 and take-offs.
• Solid understanding of commercial construction processes, materials, and methods.
• Proficiency in estimating and take-off software (e.g., On-Screen Takeoff, Planswift, Bluebeam, etc.).
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
• Degree/experience in structural engineering a plus
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to read and interpret complex architectural and engineering plans and specifications.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
