About the Client

The client is a licensed independent life and health insurance agent working with a U.S.-based agency that specializes in final expense and funeral benefit programs for American military veterans. These programs are offered in partnership with a federally recognized veterans’ organization, giving the agency access to a semi-warm lead base of qualified individuals. While the client operates independently, they are closely connected to a larger support network within the insurance industry and receive a high volume of leads. The goal is to help U.S. veterans and their families access life insurance coverage and final expense benefits in a respectful, compliant, and empathetic way.

About The Role

We are looking for a proactive, articulate, and mission-driven Appointment Setter to join a fast-paced U.S.-based life insurance agency specializing in final expense and burial benefit programs for American veterans. You will play a key role in setting qualified appointments with prospective clients based on semi-warm leads provided through a federally recognized veterans’ organization. This is not a typical cold-calling job. The ideal candidate is confident, persuasive, and deeply respectful of the audience they will be speaking to—American military veterans. Candidates must have strong interpersonal skills, an excellent phone presence, and the ability to make hundreds of dials daily while maintaining professionalism and empathy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Make 250–300 outbound calls per day to semi-warm leads provided by the company.
  • Set qualified appointments for the licensed insurance agent.
  • Build rapport with prospects, handle objections professionally, and explain the basic purpose of the call.
  • Follow call scripts and compliance protocols.
  • Keep accurate call notes and appointment data in internal systems.
  • Work closely with the U.S.-based agent to coordinate schedules and optimize conversion rates.
  • Maintain a high level of integrity and respect when engaging with U.S. veterans.
  • Maintaining the minimum requirement of 5 confirmed appointments per day.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 1–2+ years of outbound cold calling or appointment setting experience.
  • Proven success in high-volume calling environments.
  • Strong verbal communication skills with neutral or native-level American English.
  • Confidence and resilience on the phone, sales-minded and able to handle rejection.
  • Ability to follow scripts while sounding natural and conversational.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Experience working with U.S.-based clients or companies is preferred.
  • Reliable high-speed internet, noise-canceling headset, and a quiet work environment.
  • Familiarity with CRMs or lead-tracking software is a plus.
