Client Success Data Analyst

About the Role:

We are seeking a meticulous and communicative Client Success Data Analyst to join our clients team. In this pivotal role, you will be the bridge between complex data and actionable business insights for our clients. You will transform raw data into clear, accurate, and visually compelling dashboards and reports using our proprietary analytics platform and Power BI.

This is a hands-on, delivery-focused position where you will have direct responsibility for the end-to-end reporting process—from data preparation to presentation and client explanation. Your success will be measured by the accuracy of your outputs, the clarity of your insights, and the satisfaction of the clients you support. You will work within a supportive, remote-first environment on cutting-edge projects for a dynamic technology client in the innovation sector.

Side note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and an “Independent Contractor” arrangement, the candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Visualization & Dashboard Development:

• Design, build, and maintain interactive charts, dashboards, and structured reports within our proprietary analytics platform (comprehensive training provided).
• Develop and maintain sophisticated Power BI dashboards aligned with specific client and internal stakeholder requirements.
• Ensure all reporting outputs are visually consistent, intuitive, and tell a clear story, enabling data-driven decision-making.

Data Preparation & Engineering:

• Clean, validate, and transform raw, structured data from various sources to ensure accuracy and reporting readiness.
• Perform data transformations and automate workflows using Excel, Python, and/or JavaScript.
• Establish and document repeatable data preparation processes to ensure consistency and efficiency.

Advanced Excel & Analytical Support:

• Utilize Excel at an expert level, employing pivot tables, advanced formulas (XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, array formulas), data models, and Power Query.
• Generate ad hoc analyses, summary tables, and one-off reports to address specific client questions or internal needs.

Client Success & Communication:

• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients regarding their reporting suite, explaining data trends, insights, and methodologies in plain, professional English.
• Proactively communicate with clients to clarify requirements, present findings, and answer data-related questions via email, chat, and video calls.
• Represent our commitment to quality and professionalism in every client interaction, building trust through transparency and reliability.

Quality Assurance & Process Adherence:

• Conduct rigorous quality checks on all data and reports to ensure 100% accuracy, completeness, and adherence to defined formats and standards.
• Maintain clear documentation of reporting logic, data transformations, and key assumptions for future reference and client audits.

Collaboration & Project Delivery:

• Work closely with internal recruitment and account teams to understand project scope and client objectives fully.
• Manage and prioritize your task queue to deliver high-quality reporting outputs within agreed-upon timelines.
• Proactively flag potential data issues, scope changes, or risks to project success.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• 2+ years of proven experience in a data reporting, business intelligence, or analytics role.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Power BI (DAX, data modeling, dashboard design).
• Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel (including Power Query/Pivot, complex formulas).
• Demonstrated experience in cleaning, transforming, and validating raw datasets.
• Exceptional written and spoken English communication skills; ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences confidently.
• High degree of accuracy, meticulous attention to detail, and an ownership mentality.
• Proven ability to work autonomously in a remote setting, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines consistently.
• Professional, client-centric attitude with a passion for delivering tangible value.

Highly Regarded Skills:

• Practical experience with Python (Pandas, NumPy) and/or JavaScript for data manipulation and automation.
• Experience working with custom/internal software platforms, APIs, or JSON data structures.
• Background in a B2B technology, SaaS, or professional services environment.
• Previous client-facing or customer success experience in a remote capacity.
