Job Overview

We are seeking a commercially driven CFO to oversee financial strategy, reporting, and cash flow management across all businesses within the Biordi Group.

This role is focused on providing clear visibility over money coming in and out, improving

financial systems, and delivering simple, actionable reports to founders for decision-making.

Job Highlights

• Paid Hours per Week: 40
• Schedule: Flexible within clients business hours | Australian Eastern Time
• Work Arrangement: Work from home
• Contract: Independent Contractor

Side note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and an “Independent Contractor” arrangement, the candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Oversight & Reporting:

• Build and maintain weekly and monthly financial dashboards
• Provide clear reporting on:

- Revenue by brand

- Cash flow position

- Expenses by category

- Inventory spend

- Marketing ROI

• Present monthly financial summaries to founders
• Ensure accurate reconciliation across Xero and payment platforms

Cash Flow Management

• Forecast 3, 6, and 12-month cash flow
• Monitor inventory purchasing vs available cash
• Flag cash risks before they become problems
• Improve payment timing (suppliers, 3PLs, ad spend, etc.)

Financial Systems & Structure

• Improve reporting structure inside Xero
• Oversee bookkeeper and ensure clean chart of accounts
• Ensure proper receipt tracking process (VA + bookkeeping alignment)

Implement SOPs for:

- Expense approvals

- Purchase tracking

- Budget control

• Consolidate reporting across multiple entities

Strategic Financial Planning

• Expansion decisions (UK, UAE, etc.)
• Pricing strategy & margin improvement
• Funding / capital planning
• Investment decisions
• Analyse performance per drop, per SKU, per campaign

Team Management

• Oversee bookkeeper and accountants
• Ensure BAS, tax, compliance deadlines are met
• Create accountability around financial data accuracy

• Experience in eCommerce, retail, or consumer brands
• Strong cash flow forecasting experience
• Ability to simplify complex numbers
• Commercial mindset (not just compliance)
• Proactive communication
