Overview

We are seeking a creative and driven Video Content Creator to produce engaging 2.5–3 minute celebrity news videos for millions of social media followers. You will own the entire production process—from selecting trending topics to scripting, editing, and publishing—working in a fast-paced environment with significant growth potential as the company scales its content team.

Job Highlights

Number of Paid Hours Per Week: 40 hours

Schedule: Flexible hours with deliverables due 8AM EST on weekdays (Monday–Friday)

Work Arrangement: Work from home

Contract: Independent Contractor

Side Note: As an independent contractor, you will provide your own computer and internet connection. Compensation is based on hourly rates or project deliverables.

Responsibilities

All content created in this role will be produced specifically for Snapchat.

• Select trending celebrity gossip topics and develop content concepts tailored for Snapchat audiences
• Write compelling 2.5–3 minute scripts designed to engage viewers on Snapchat
• Source and curate celebrity footage from online platforms for use in Snapchat video content
• Edit and assemble clips to create cohesive, viral-ready video stories
• Overlay professional voiceover narration onto videos
• Design eye-catching thumbnails optimized for Snapchat click-through
• Publish completed content across multiple high-traffic Snapchat channels
• Follow established content guidelines, formats, and production standards specific to Snapchat
• Meet high-volume production deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Collaborate with team members as the content creator team continues to scale

Requirements

• Previous experience in media production and content creation (required)
• Must have Snapchat and Tiktok shop experience, including posting, managing, and understanding Snapchat platform features
• Must be willing to complete the client assessment
• Strong video editing skills and proficiency with editing software
• Ability to write engaging, viral-style scripts for social media viewers
• Knowledge of celebrity news, entertainment trends, and current pop-culture topics
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to high-quality production
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently
• Proven ability to meet demanding, high-volume production schedules
• Bonus: Experience with high-volume content creation
