We are expanding our Freight Brokerage team and are looking for a Carrier Coordinator who is driven, detail-oriented, and passionate about logistics.

Job Purpose

To grow and maintain a reliable network of transportation carriers across North America, ensuring the seamless coordination of freight movement. The ideal candidate will build strong relationships with carrier partners, negotiate rates, and resolve issues proactively—all while upholding the standards that make Venkor a trusted name in logistics.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and onboard qualified carriers aligned with safety and compliance standards
• Build and maintain long-term, trust-based relationships with carriers
• Communicate with carriers in a timely and professional manner
• Request and negotiate freight quotes across a variety of lanes and equipment types
• Ensure load tenders are accurate and complete before dispatch
• Act as a problem-solver for carrier-related service issues or disputes
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure carrier capabilities match customer needs
• Stay up-to-date on freight market trends and pricing

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in international business, logistics, or related field
• English working proficiency (verbal & written)
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly
• Customer service mindset with a solution-oriented approach
• Previous experience in freight brokerage or logistics is a strong asset
• Minimum 1 year of experience working night shift or supporting operations in Eastern Time (ET)
