Responsibilities

• Interpret and execute detailed construction drawings and building plans with accuracy.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and install building materials with precision.
• Construct, erect, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring safety protocols.
• Inspect and replace damaged woodwork or other structures as required.
• Collaborate effectively with project managers and other construction professionals.
• Ensure all work meets building codes, standards, and architectural specifications.
• Operate and maintain hand and power tools efficiently and safely.
• Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed.
• Assist in the laying out, fabricating, and installation of frameworks and other fixtures.
• Respond to on-site carpentry needs and make modifications as necessary.
• Supervise and guide junior carpenters or apprentices on construction projects.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a carpentry apprenticeship.
• Proven experience as a carpenter with a comprehensive skill set.
• Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools.
• Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction.
• Solid knowledge of woodworking machinery and power tools for various tasks.
• Ability to read technical documents, blueprints, and architectural drawings.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in every project.
