CAD Coordinator Assistant

Overview

We are seeking a detail-obsessed professional to oversee the validation and coordination of all CAD drawings from intake to final approval. This critical role ensures design accuracy and technical alignment to prevent production errors and project delays in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule:

Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST

Responsibilities

CAD Intake & Validation

• Receive project details
• Verify measurements, specs, and selections

CAD Coordination & Tracking

• Assign/track drawings
• Monitor turnaround, revisions, approvals

Quality Control (Critical)

• Check dimensions, specs, and design feasibility
• Validate glass, hardware, configurations
• Catch errors before production

Production Alignment

• Ensure designs are buildable
• Confirm materials and lead times
• Coordinate with production & supply chain

Customer Approval

• Send drawings, track approvals & revisions
• No production without documented approval

Revision Control

• Track updates and maintain version control

Production Release

• Release only when approved, verified, and issue-free

Documentation

• Maintain organized, complete project files

Issue Escalation

• Flag discrepancies, conflicts, material or timeline risks

Requirements

• Experience working with CAD workflows (AutoCAD or similar)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Experience managing technical documents or drawings
• Strong written communication skills
• Experience with project tracking tools (Asana, CRM, ERP systems) Preferred:
• Experience in construction, manufacturing, or custom product environments
• Familiarity with production workflows or supply chain coordination Key Attributes
