Job Purpose and Role:

We are looking for a motivated, professional, and detail-oriented Business Development Representative to serve as an extension of our team, focusing on lead generation, virtual assistance and client outreach. This individual will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, and nurturing leads in the healthcare sector, scheduling discovery calls with qualified prospects, and maintaining detailed outreach records.


This role is ideal for someone with strong communication skills, persistence, and the ability to make a great first impression with practice managers, administrators, and medical staff.


Responsibilities:


Lead Research & Prospecting

  • Identify independent medical practices that may benefit from medical billing services (excluding neurologists, pain medicine, and physiatrists).
  • Use tools such as LinkedIn and the NPI Registry to search for leads by specialty and location (Pacific, Central, and Eastern time zones prioritized).
  • Maintain an organized, up-to-date lead database (Google Sheets).


Outreach & Engagement

  • Execute outbound prospecting via LinkedIn, email, SMS, and phone calls using a business line provided.
  • Send professional, value-driven, and personalized messages to generate interest.
  • Schedule discovery calls for the company owner with qualified leads.


Lead Qualification & Tracking

  • Qualify leads based on practice size, specialty, billing needs, and decision-making authority.
  • Log daily outreach activities in Google Sheets (serving as CRM).
  • Meet performance targets:
  • Minimum 25 lead generation engagements per workday
  • At least 3 confirmed discovery appointments every 4 weeks


Support & Collaboration

  • Prepare outreach materials (email templates, follow-up scripts, intro messages).
  • Work closely with the business owner for guidance and training (via WhatsApp, email, or calls).
  • Provide feedback and suggest improvements to outreach strategies.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Virtual Assistant, Lead Generation Specialist, or Sales Support (preferably in healthcare or B2B services).
  • Experience with medical billing services, healthcare operations, or revenue cycle management is a MUST.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; professional and confident tone.
  • Experience with LinkedIn prospecting, email outreach, and cold calling.
  • Proficiency in Google Sheets and ability to work with simple tracking systems (no complex CRM required).
  • Resilient, persistent, and comfortable handling rejections gracefully.
