You will take ownership of the complete financial workflow for a dynamic organization, focusing on stabilizing their financial health through meticulous record-keeping. This role involves catching up on essential backlogged tasks while establishing smooth, long-term processes within QuickBooks.

Responsibilities

  • Handle comprehensive accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
  • Manage payroll processing and related financial activities
  • Prepare accurate financial reports and budgeting documents
  • Perform detailed financial reconciliation and ensure record accuracy
  • Address backlogged financial tasks accumulated over recent months
  • Maintain and optimize QuickBooks records and transaction workflows
  • Collaborate directly with leadership on financial planning and reporting
  • Establish efficient ongoing processes for sustained financial operations


Requirements

  • Strong accounting or finance background with hands-on experience
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks software and financial management systems
  • Proven experience managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
  • Ability to prepare comprehensive financial reports and perform reconciliations
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment with reliable internet
  • Bonus if you have experience catching up on backlogged financial work
  • It helps if you’re comfortable with flexible scheduling and direct leadership communication



Side note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and an “Independent Contractor” arrangement, the candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional pay rate is based on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.
