A growing financial services company specializing in merchant cash advances and business lending. They’re implementing an exciting new project that requires expert financial organization and are looking for a detail-oriented bookkeeper to help clean up and streamline their financial records during this expansion phase.

You’ll play a crucial role in organizing and maintaining accurate financial records for a dynamic lending company during an important growth phase. This position offers the opportunity to make an immediate impact by cleaning up existing books and implementing better financial tracking systems. You’ll work directly with company leadership and have the potential to grow into a long-term role based on your performance and the company’s continued expansion.


Job Highlights:

  • Hourly Rate: USD 5.08, the equivalent in your local currency
  • Paid Hours per Week: 40 hours per week
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, flexible anytime
  • Work Arrangement: Work from home
  • Contract: Independent Contractor

Side note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and an “Independent Contractor” arrangement, the candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.


Responsibilities:

  • Clean up and organize existing financial records and accounting books
  • Maintain accurate daily bookkeeping using QuickBooks Online
  • Process and manage financial data efficiently using Microsoft Excel
  • Support new project implementation with detailed financial tracking and reporting
  • Ensure all financial entries are properly categorized and reconciled
  • Provide regular updates on bookkeeping progress and data accuracy
  • Collaborate directly with company leadership on financial data management
  • Implement improved financial organization systems and processes


Requirements:

  • Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online, including handling high-volume transaction processing (must-have)
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for financial data management
  • Previous bookkeeping experience, preferably within financial services, lending, or alternative finance companies
  • Direct experience working with factoring companies, merchant cash advance businesses, or similar alternative lending models
  • Solid understanding of accounting processes specific to factoring, including accounts receivable purchasing and invoice discounting
  • Knowledge of financial workflows in the alternative lending industry
  • Experience with financial cleanup projects is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record keeping
  • Ability to work US Eastern Time hours consistently
  • Reliable internet connection and a professional home office setup
