Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper (QuickBooks Online Specialist) to manage and maintain accurate financial records for multiple clients. In this role, you will handle day-to-day bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks Online, including updating financial files, managing the Chart of Accounts, performing Balance Sheet adjustments, and reconciling accounts. You will oversee Accounts Receivable and Payable, manage invoicing, match bank deposits to invoices, and resolve discrepancies promptly.


Job Highlights


Hourly Rate: The equivalent of $10.00 USD per hour in the applicant’s local currency

Schedule: 10 hours/week - Monday to Friday, Flexible between 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Maine time EST

Work Arrangement: Work from home

Contract: Independent Contractor


Side Note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and the arrangement is that of an “Independent Contractor,” the selected candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.


Responsibilities


  • Maintain and update client bookkeeping files to ensure accurate financial records.
  • Utilize QuickBooks Online to manage day-to-day accounting tasks.
  • Set up and maintain the Chart of Accounts for proper financial reporting.
  • Perform Balance Sheet adjustments and ensure accurate reconciliation of accounts.
  • Manage Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, including invoicing and payment tracking.
  • Match bank deposits to invoices to ensure proper revenue recognition.
  • Reconcile accounts and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.


Requirements

  • QuickBooks Online Certified ProAdvisor required.
  • Proven experience in bookkeeping with advanced knowledge of QuickBooks Online.
  • Strong ability to maintain and update client bookkeeping files accurately and efficiently.
  • Experience managing Chart of Accounts, performing Balance Sheet adjustments, and handling Accounts Receivable and Payable.
  • Skilled in invoicing and matching bank deposits to invoices correctly.
  • High-level attention to detail, organization, and ability to work independently.
