Job Description

Schedule: 40hrs per week, Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM | Australian Eastern Time

Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll and wages in compliance with Australian superannuation and tax requirements
  • Manage accounts payable by reviewing, approving, and processing 100-200 invoices monthly
  • Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records in MYOB
  • Organize and respond to email correspondence and maintain digital filing systems
  • Assist with contract preparation and track monthly deadlines for leasing activities
  • Support property management tasks including lease renewals and tenant documentation


Requirements:

  • 3-6 years of bookkeeping experience with proficiency in MYOB
  • Strong understanding of Australian payroll, superannuation, and tax compliance
  • Experience in property management or real estate industry preferred
  • Ability to manage high-volume invoice processing with accuracy and efficiency
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
  • High level of attention to detail and strong written communication skills


Scope:

  • Work 20 hours per week with flexible scheduling based on business needs
  • Collaborate directly with the business owner and small office team
  • Transition financial management tasks in-house to reduce reliance on external accountants
  • Provide administrative support across leasing, contracts, and general office operations
  • Potential to expand responsibilities as the business grows and systems are developed


Side Note

  • This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement. Candidates must have their own computer and reliable internet connection, and are responsible for their own taxes and benefits. Professional hourly fees are established based on your performance in the application process.
