As an Automobile Mechanic, you will work alongside a team of professionals, diagnosing vehicle issues, repairing problems, and performing routine maintenance to ensure that cars and trucks run smoothly. Responsibilities

  • Diagnose complex automotive issues using computerized testing equipment and observation.
  • Inspect vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, exhausts, and brakes, for defects.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks like oil changes, tire rotations, and alignments.
  • Replace worn components and conduct necessary repairs to restore vehicle function.
  • Conduct vehicle diagnostics to identify performance problems and potential future issues.
  • Maintain a clean, organized workspace to ensure safety and efficiency in operations.
  • Provide estimates for time and cost for auto repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Keep detailed records of work completed and parts used in each vehicle service.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to solve challenging automotive problems effectively.
  • Stay updated on industry advancements and new automotive technologies and tools.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by explaining services and repairs to clients.
  • Train and mentor junior mechanics to enhance team efficiency and skillsets.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification preferred.
  • Proven experience as an automotive mechanic or technician in a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of vehicle systems and mechanical components essential.
  • Familiarity with computerized diagnostic tools and the latest automotive technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail for accurate diagnostics.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is necessary.
