Job Description

As an Assistant Finance Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting the finance department's operations and ensuring the financial health of the organization. You will collaborate with various teams to provide financial insights, assist in budget preparation, and ensure compliance with financial regulations. Your keen analytical skills will help in making informed decisions and forecasting financial trends. The role demands a high degree of accuracy, confidentiality, and a strong understanding of financial systems. Working closely with the Finance Manager, you will help in streamlining processes and improving financial performance across the board.


Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Monitor day-to-day financial operations within the organization, including payroll, invoicing, and other transactions.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information by reviewing and reconciling discrepancy reports.
  • Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts, and monitor their ongoing performance.
  • Analyze financial data and develop financial models to assist strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and contribute to cross-departmental projects.
  • Assist in the maintenance and update of financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
  • Manage and coordinate financial audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements.
  • Support the Finance Manager in risk management tasks by preparing financial risk reports.
  • Prepare documents and presentations for senior management to communicate financial performance and projections.
  • Assist in developing strategies to optimize cash flow management and reduce financial waste.
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior team members and support staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is required.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a financial or accounting role.
  • Proficiency in financial software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills are necessary.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities are essential.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are required.
  • Demonstrated experience in preparing and managing budgets and forecasts.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive financial information appropriately.
