Architectural Plan Set Designer

A U.S. architecture and design firm is looking for an Architectural Plan Set Designer who can take a project from schematic markups to a complete, permit-ready drawing set with minimal hand-holding.

This is a remote role for someone with strong construction documentation experience, clear communication skills, and the ability to work directly with a U.S.-based team during U.S. business hours.

You will produce full architectural plan sets, develop construction documents from redlines and schematic designs, and help prepare accurate drawings for U.S. permit submissions.

What You’ll Do

• Produce complete architectural plan sets, including floor plans, elevations, sections, details, schedules, and related drawings
• Develop construction documents from schematic designs, markups, and redlines
• Prepare permit-ready drawings that follow U.S. drafting standards and building code requirements
• Coordinate revisions and keep sheets accurate, consistent, and properly organized
• Review drawings for dimensions, notes, references, and sheet-to-sheet consistency
• Work directly with the U.S. architecture and design team during U.S. business hours
• Support projects from early design documentation through permit-ready plan sets

What We’re Looking For

• Hands-on experience producing full architectural plan sets independently
• Strong AutoCAD skills for construction documentation
• Working knowledge of U.S. building codes, drafting standards, and permit drawing requirements
• Ability to read redlines, understand markups, and turn them into clean construction documents
• Strong attention to detail across drawings, dimensions, notes, and details
• Clear written and spoken English
• Ability to work remotely and communicate effectively with a U.S.-based team
• A portfolio of architectural plan sets you personally produced

Nice to Have

• Revit or BIM workflow experience
• Experience supporting U.S. permit submissions
• Experience with residential, commercial, or mixed-use architectural projects
• Familiarity with U.S. construction details and documentation standards

Important Note

This is a hands-on architectural drafting and plan set production role. We are looking for someone who can independently produce complete, permit-ready construction documents — not someone who only assists with basic drafting tasks.
