Job Role Summary/Overview

You’ll play a crucial role in bringing architectural visions to life through precise technical documentation and council submission materials. This position offers the opportunity to work on meaningful projects ranging from luxury residential homes to essential community infrastructure, such as childcare centers. Job Highlights

• Paid Hours per Week: 20+ hours per week
• Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Flexible working hours | Australian Eastern Time (Sydney)
• Work Arrangement: Work from home
• Contract: Independent Contractor

Side note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and an “Independent Contractor” arrangement, the candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.

Responsibilities

• Prepare comprehensive architectural documentation for council submissions and development applications
• Create detailed technical drawings and plans using ArchiCAD software
• Collaborate on shared architectural models to ensure project consistency and accuracy
• Support the development application process with precise documentation standards
• Work across diverse project types, including high-end residential, childcare centers, and medium-density developments
• Ensure all drawings meet Australian council submission requirements and standards
• Maintain project timelines and quality standards for client deliverables
• Coordinate with the team to address project-specific requirements and revisions

Requirements

• 3-5 years of architectural drafting experience with a strong portfolio
• Advanced proficiency in ArchiCAD software (essential requirement for model collaboration)
• Solid understanding of Australian council submission processes and development applications
• Experience with architectural documentation standards and technical drawing conventions
• Bonus if you have experience with rural or semi-rural council requirements
• It helps if you’re familiar with high-end residential or commercial project documentation
